The Season of Giving

The older I get the more I understand that we are put on this earth to help others. There are so many people out there less fortunate. If you are in a place to help another person then why not do so?
It feels great to put a smile on someone else’s face. You will feel a sense of happiness knowing you did something great for another person.

This year I have put together a bag full of canned goods and some toiletries as well as two of my books. I am excited to know these items will go to someone in need this holiday season.

Here are a few ideas for you if you are looking to give as well.

*Bake some cookies or brownies for someone else.
*Go through your cupboards and donate some canned goods.
*Go through your drawers/closets and donate some clothes/shoes.
*Offer to help clean/organize another's home.
*Go to a local nursing home and spend time with the elderly.
*Drop off food at a local soup kitchen.
*Drop a toy off at toys for tots.

A little giving can go a long way.

I would love to hear what you plan to give this holiday season!
